English Skeet Summer League, Round Three
The third round of the Colin Bowen Memorial English skeet league was held at Meary Veg Santon with 21 competitors taking part in dry sunny conditions.
We had a three way tie for first place after the first round with a class shooters Paul Mihailovits and Arthur Hayes along with C class shooter Ted Kermeen all tying on 24, followed by the leading B class shooter Zac Bellhouse, Jeff Corkill and C class Andre Vishnjov on 23.
After the second round was completed we had the following results, in C class first round leader Andre Vishnjov finished in third place with 36 points in second place with two steady 20’s was Mike Whitehead but taking C class with a well shot 45 was Ted Kermeen. In B class Dave Corlett was in third place with 40 points with George Davies in second place on 45 but winning B Class with a well shot 47 was junior Zac Bellhouse. Jeff Corkill finished in third place in A class with 45 points but we had a tie for first place between Paul Mihailovits and Arthur Hayes with 48 points each.
Nine shooters carried on to complete a 100 targets with Mihailovits finishing with a 97 seven ahead of Corkill and Sammer in equal second place.
