Wades Weather Windy Targets

Meary Veg Sporting GP

The Meary Veg Sporting GP kindly sponsored once again by Juan Cowley, Stan Cross and Will Rand who sponsored the cups up for grabs was held at Meary Veg in dry, cloudy and at times sunny conditions with a stiff southerly wind. 30 competitors took to the stands with over £1200 in the prize pot shot over two laps of six stands.

We had joint leaders after the first round were A class shooters  Paul Mihailovits and Michael Cross along with B class shooter  Dave Corlett all tying on 39 points followed by Alan Wade on 38 with Rob Corlett, Brian Faragher and Liam Kirkpatrick next on 35. The leading lady at this stage was Sue Doyle with 30 points followed by Irene Stockil on 24. The leading junior was Joe Faragher on 34 with Zac Bellhouse next on 30 who was also the leading C class shooter .

After a short break the second lap got under way and once all the scores had been verified we had the following results. In C class Li Williamson was in third place with 52 points with Irene Stockil in second place on 54 but taking C class with 61 points was junior Zac Bellhouse. In B class Liam Kirkpatrick was in third place on 67 with junior Joe Faragher taking second place on 69 who  was also the leading junior, but winning B class with 73 points was Dave Corlett.

In A class Rob Corlett was third on 70 with Juan Cowley taking second place with 71 points ,in first place in A class went to Michael Cross on 77 points. The runner up overall was Paul Mihailovits with 78 points but winning and the only shooter to break eighty was Alan Wade with 80 points, well done Alan.
